What happens when my trial ends?
The app stops taking new captures and asks for a serial number. Nothing is
deleted — your gallery, clipboard history and settings all stay put, and
activating brings everything back exactly as it was.
How do I activate my serial number?
Open Flowy Canvas from the tray, paste the serial into
Settings → License, hit Activate. Activation is offline — no account required.
Can I use one serial on more than one computer?
Yes — your serial works on the machines you personally use. Reinstalling
Windows or moving to a new laptop? Just paste it again.
Why does Windows SmartScreen / macOS Gatekeeper warn me?
The Mac installers are Developer ID signed and Apple notarized. Windows uses an unsigned installer, so SmartScreen may warn on a new download. Download the current version from this page.
Mac says Flowy Canvas is damaged and should be moved to the Trash?
Download the latest signed and notarized Mac installer from this page and install it again. Older builds used different signing methods. If the current download still fails, contact support with the version and error message.
Mac capture shows only my desktop wallpaper / no windows?
Grant Flowy Canvas Screen Recording access in System Settings → Privacy & Security, then quit and reopen the app. If permission appears enabled but capture still fails after an update, use the tray’s Fix Screen Recording… option. Current Mac releases use the same Developer ID signing identity.
Windows installer shows errors during setup?
Flowy Canvas refreshes the Windows icon cache at the end of install.
On some systems the helper utility is missing or returns a harmless
error. These warnings are safe to ignore; the app installs and runs
normally. If SmartScreen appears, click More info → Run anyway.
Where is the offline AI translation / Local Pro model?
Local Pro is a one-time ~900 MB download (well under 2 GB) that covers
every language. Open the annotator, select text, and choose
Translate → Local Pro. It persists across app restarts and
updates, but a full uninstall/reinstall removes it, so you’ll need to
download it once after reinstalling.
How does instant clipboard history work?
Clipboard history is enabled by default. Press Option+V on Mac or Alt+V on Windows to open the list. Click a row or type 1–5 to paste it directly into the destination app; the numbers follow as you scroll. Your existing text selection is preserved. An optional one-second Cmd/Ctrl hold is available in settings and is off by default. Automatic paste into other apps on macOS requires Accessibility permission.
Where do my screenshots live?
PNG saves go to a folder you pick (default Pictures/Flowy Canvas).
The gallery and clipboard history live in your user data folder, on your
disk. Online translation and model downloads use the network; local drawing
and clipboard history work offline.
