What happens when my trial ends?
The app stops taking new captures and asks for a serial number. Nothing is
deleted — your gallery, clipboard history and settings all stay put, and
activating brings everything back exactly as it was.
How do I activate my serial number?
Open Flowy Canvas from the tray, paste the serial into
Settings → License, hit Activate. Activation is offline — no account required.
Can I use one serial on more than one computer?
Yes — your serial works on the machines you personally use. Reinstalling
Windows or moving to a new laptop? Just paste it again.
Why does Windows SmartScreen / macOS Gatekeeper warn me?
The builds are not yet notarized with an Apple Developer ID, so
operating systems are appropriately cautious. On Windows choose
More info → Run anyway. On a Mac, right-click the app and
choose Open the first time. The latest Mac builds show the
standard “unidentified developer” prompt rather than “damaged”.
Mac says Flowy Canvas is damaged and should be moved to the Trash?
Older builds could show that message because of an ad-hoc code
signature combined with Gatekeeper hardening. Current builds avoid it:
re-download the latest Mac build from this site, then right-click the
app and choose Open. If you still see “damaged”, run
xattr -cr "/Applications/Flowy Canvas.app"
in Terminal and open it again.
Mac capture shows only my desktop wallpaper / no windows?
macOS Screen Recording permission can look granted while actually
stale after an app update. Open System Settings → Privacy &
Security → Screen Recording, remove Flowy Canvas from the list,
add it back, then restart the app. You can also use the tray menu’s
Fix Screen Recording… shortcut. v0.89.4+ signs with a stable
self-signed certificate so the grant should survive future updates;
you only need to fix it once more after installing v0.89.4.
Windows installer shows errors during setup?
Flowy Canvas refreshes the Windows icon cache at the end of install.
On some systems the helper utility is missing or returns a harmless
error. These warnings are safe to ignore; the app installs and runs
normally. If SmartScreen appears, click More info → Run anyway.
Where is the offline AI translation / Local Pro model?
Local Pro is a one-time ~900 MB download (well under 2 GB) that covers
every language. Open the annotator, select text, and choose
Translate → Local Pro. It persists across app restarts and
updates, but a full uninstall/reinstall removes it, so you’ll need to
download it once after reinstalling.
How does instant clipboard history work?
Flowy Canvas records everything you copy — text, images, and more.
Double-press Cmd (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) anywhere:
a panel opens next to your cursor without stealing focus —
your text selection and address bar stay exactly as they were. The five
visible rows are numbered: press 1–5 (or click) and that item
pastes straight into the app you’re working in — no Cmd+V needed. The
numbers follow as you scroll. Long-press for one second remains a
setting. On macOS the auto-paste keystroke needs
Accessibility permission, asked once; if the toggle looks ON but paste
still doesn’t fire, remove Flowy Canvas from the Accessibility list and
add it back once — older builds signed differently left a stale entry.
Where do my screenshots live?
PNG saves go to a folder you pick (default Pictures/Flowy Canvas).
The gallery and clipboard history live in your user data folder, on your
disk. Flowy Canvas makes no network requests.
What's the refund policy?
14 days, no questions asked. Email with your order and you'll get your
money back.
